TERMS & NOTICE
Source available.
Not open source.
Those are different things and this is the other one. Every line of the JavaScript and CSS on this site is already sitting in your browser, so pretending otherwise would be theater. It is legible on purpose. If you are deciding whether to hire me, the source is the interview: open it, read the comments, and check whether the thing I claimed is the thing I built.
What you may do
- Read it. In the browser, in the source, anywhere. All of it.
- Run it locally to see how it behaves.
- Quote short excerpts when discussing or evaluating my work, with credit.
- Learn from it. That is most of why it is written the way it is.
What you may not do
- Copy it, in whole or in substantial part, into anything you ship.
- Deploy it, host it, or publish it — modified or not.
- Fold it into a product, a template, a client project, or a course.
- Use it as training data for a machine learning model of any kind.
The name
allenhbuilds™ is a trademark in use, along with the wordmark and the marks drawn for it. The name identifies my work. Using it on yours would be the one thing here I would take personally.
The rest of it
The words, the photographs, the drawings and the source are mine, and copyright in them is mine from the moment they were written — © 2026 James Allen Heifner, all rights reserved.
And none of it is anybody else's. Nothing on this site belongs to any employer, prior employer, customer or prior customer of mine. Where a system I built for one of them is described, it is described — no employer's, prior employer's, customer's or prior customer's code, schema, table or column names, identifiers, account numbers, vendor information or figures appear anywhere on this site or in anything linked from it. The systems rebuilt for the portfolio are written clean from scratch: my architecture and my sequencing, a generic domain model, and data the package generates itself. The approach is the part that was mine to begin with.
If you want to use something
Reading is free. Using is a conversation, and it is a much shorter one than you would think. The answer is very often yes.
